Who doesn’t love skiing! We all want to get the opportunity to put our skiing skills to the test, but unfortunately ski remains to be yet another ignored winter sport in Pakistan. The good news, however, is that PYO has been promoting ski through training camps and competitions for the last couple of years. We are now highly optimistic about the future of ski in Pakistan, given the surmounting interest of young men and women in the sport.
We organize ski competitions of different levels during the winters in Gilgit-Baltistan, an area that is blessed with countless winter sports opportunities. In order to participate in our ski competition, you must have the basic skills of the game. The competition levels differ by age, gender and skills. We even organize competitions for the expert skiers in Pakistan.
Skiing is a fun, interesting and healthy outdoor activity. It is a winter sport that you can master with some efforts and then pass on to your future generation. While skiing is non-competitive unless it is racing, PYO organizes the competition to promote the game and create some buzz around the sport.
Skiing is basically an art and once you master it, it will stick with you for a lifetime. The good news is that skiing is very healthy. It can keep you physically active and fit by strengthening your abdominal muscles, your spine, your overall body posture and your pelvic area. Furthermore, skiing has the potential to enhance your cardiovascular system, meaning that it can improve your heart and blood circulation in addition to helping your body get more oxygen and remove waste from your body.
